Local expertise

A landscape designer who knows Frisco lots

Homeowners are exempt from tree permits — with a catch

Frisco requires a tree removal permit city-wide except on platted single-family lots — so as a homeowner you can usually act without one. The catch: protected-tree rules (6-inch DBH and up) still shape what builders left you, and good design keeps the trees that are doing the work.

A seasonal watering plan, not a flat schedule

Frisco's Water Management Plan runs year-round: up to two watering days in summer (your trash day plus a designated second day), one day in spring and fall, a winter turf-watering ban, and no automatic irrigation 10 a.m.–6 p.m. April through October. The smart-controller rebate is currently suspended, but the city still offers free irrigation checkups — and we design drip-first so the plan is enough.

Blackland clay under everything

Frisco sits on Houston Black clay — the Texas state soil, and an expansive one: it heaves hardscape and suffocates plants set low. Beds get built up and drained; hardscape gets real base prep; the plant list is chosen for clay, not against it.

Gated communities with real review

Starwood, Newman Village, Phillips Creek Ranch and Edgestone all run active associations with architectural review. We deliver submission-ready plans so the committee sees a professional package the first time.

What You Get

A Complete Design System You Own Forever

Three deliverables — not one sketch.

A walkthrough video of your yard

Stand in your future landscape on your phone. See exactly how every plant, paver, and stone wall will look — at sunrise, at dusk, in full bloom — before we plant a single thing. Share it with your spouse, your in-laws, your designer friends.

Architect-grade 3D plans

The same modeling tools high-end residential architects use, applied to every inch of your property. Accurate to the foot. Buildable. Yours forever — even if you take the design to another contractor down the road.

A complete plant + material spec

Every species, every quantity, every supplier. No guessing what's in the design. No “wait, that's not what I expected” at install.

Most DFW landscape designers hand you a sketch and ask you to imagine it. A flat board with cut-out plants. A Pinterest mood board with vibes. You sign a contract, write a check, and hope.

We hand you a movie. You walk through your finished yard on your phone before we break ground — and approve every plant, every paver, every angle. No “I thought it would look different.” No surprises. No regrets.

Common questions

Landscape design in Frisco — FAQ

How much does landscape design cost in Frisco?

A 2D Site Plan runs $750–$2,000 for lots under about half an acre with planting-and-layout scope; photoreal 3D design starts at $2,500; estate-scale master plans run $4,500–$7,500+. The $200 on-site consultation is credited in full and design fees credit toward installation.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Frisco?

Usually not as a homeowner: Frisco requires tree removal permits city-wide except on platted single-family and two-family lots. We still design around healthy established trees — they are the most valuable thing on the lot.

How does Frisco's watering plan affect landscaping?

Frisco waters by season: up to two days a week in summer (trash day plus a designated day), one day in spring and fall, no turf watering in winter, and no automatic irrigation 10 a.m.–6 p.m. April–October. We design drought-tolerant structure and drip-zoned beds so the plan sustains the landscape; the city also offers free irrigation checkups.

Do you work with Starwood and Phillips Creek Ranch HOAs?

Yes — we prepare architectural-review submissions for Frisco's gated communities: scaled plan, plant list with sizes, and materials sheets, formatted the way the committee expects.

When should we start to install this fall?

Design takes two to four weeks and October–November is the best planting window in North Texas. Book the consultation by October 1 and the design installs in the prime window.
