Designs of Eden is a landscape designer serving Frisco, including Starwood, Newman Village, Phillips Creek Ranch and Edgestone at Legacy. Frisco requires a tree removal permit city-wide except on platted single-family lots, so on your own lot you can usually act without one. The protected-tree rules (6-inch DBH and up) still shaped what the builder left you, and a good design keeps the trees that are doing the work.
Frisco's Water Management Plan runs year-round: up to two watering days in summer (your trash day plus a designated second day), one day in spring and fall, a winter turf-watering ban, and no automatic irrigation 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April through October. The smart controller rebate is currently suspended, but the city still offers free irrigation checkups. We put the beds on drip so the plan is enough.
Frisco sits on Houston Black clay, the Texas state soil. It is expansive, so it heaves hardscape and suffocates plants set too low. We build the beds up and drain them, give hardscape a real base, and choose plants that do well in clay.
Starwood, Newman Village, Phillips Creek Ranch and Edgestone all run active associations with architectural review. We deliver complete submission packages so the committee has everything it needs the first time.

Send photos, we pull up your lot on satellite, and you get an honest read on scope and budget. No salesman in your driveway.
One to two hours on your property. We measure the yard and look at the drainage, the soil and the sun. The fee is credited in full toward any design package.
You see the finished yard on screen with every plant and paver named. We change it until you sign off, and what you sign off on is what gets built.
The crew builds from the plan you approved, with no substitutions, and the work carries a one-year workmanship warranty.

Usually not on your own lot. Frisco requires tree removal permits city-wide except on platted single-family and two-family lots. We still design around healthy established trees, because they are the most valuable thing on the lot.
