Local expertise

A landscape designer who knows Celina lots

New-build yards need whole-yard design

Celina is the fastest-growing city of its size in America, and builder landscaping is usually a strip of shrubs and a tree. We design the whole lot from scratch — privacy, shade sequencing, beds, hardscape — which is cheaper to do right once than to fix in stages.

One watering day per week

Celina, coordinating with Upper Trinity Regional Water District, has held Stage 2 restrictions since July 2026: irrigation systems run one designated day per week, nothing between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., with hand-held and drip watering allowed daily. That is the tightest schedule in our service area — plant selection and drip design decide whether a Celina landscape survives its first summer.

PD communities set the rules

Nearly every premium Celina neighborhood is a Planned Development with its own lot standards, required open space (residential districts reserve 20% as HOA common area) and design review. We read your community's standards before drawing, so the plan passes review the first time.

Tree removals carry real fees

Celina requires a permit before removing protected trees, with mitigation fees that run $600 to $5,000 per tree by size — though individually platted residential parcels are exempt while they keep the trees their zoning requires. We verify status before any removal is designed in.

What You Get

A Complete Design System You Own Forever

Three deliverables — not one sketch.

A walkthrough video of your yard

Stand in your future landscape on your phone. See exactly how every plant, paver, and stone wall will look — at sunrise, at dusk, in full bloom — before we plant a single thing. Share it with your spouse, your in-laws, your designer friends.

Architect-grade 3D plans

The same modeling tools high-end residential architects use, applied to every inch of your property. Accurate to the foot. Buildable. Yours forever — even if you take the design to another contractor down the road.

A complete plant + material spec

Every species, every quantity, every supplier. No guessing what's in the design. No “wait, that's not what I expected” at install.

Most DFW landscape designers hand you a sketch and ask you to imagine it. A flat board with cut-out plants. A Pinterest mood board with vibes. You sign a contract, write a check, and hope.

We hand you a movie. You walk through your finished yard on your phone before we break ground — and approve every plant, every paver, every angle. No “I thought it would look different.” No surprises. No regrets.

Common questions

Landscape design in Celina — FAQ

How much does landscape design cost in Celina?

A 2D Site Plan runs $750–$2,000 for lots under about half an acre with planting-and-layout scope; photoreal 3D design starts at $2,500; estate lots and multi-zone master plans run $4,500–$7,500+. The $200 on-site consultation is credited in full and design fees credit toward installation.

Can you landscape a brand-new build in Light Farms or Mustang Lakes?

That is most of our Celina work. New builds get a whole-yard plan — privacy, shade, beds, hardscape, irrigation zoning — designed to your community's PD standards and reviewed by your HOA before anything is installed.

How do Celina's watering restrictions affect landscaping?

Celina has run Stage 2 restrictions since July 2026: one designated irrigation day per week and no watering 10 a.m.–6 p.m. We design for it with drought-tolerant structure plantings, drip irrigation in every bed, and establishment schedules that lean on hand-watering allowances while plants root in.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Celina?

Removing a protected tree in Celina requires a city permit and carries mitigation fees from $600 to $5,000 per tree, though platted residential parcels are exempt while they keep the trees their zoning requires. We verify your lot's status before designing any removal.

When should we start to install this fall?

Design takes two to four weeks and October–November is the best planting window in North Texas — especially in Celina, where fall planting means roots establish before the one-day-a-week summer. Book by October 1 to install in the prime window.
